Muscle Restore Muscle Rub

MUSCLE RESTORE (Muscle Rub) or MUSCLE CALM (Magnesium Lotion) -- Which to use?

CG Naturals offers two muscle calming and restorative products:

MUSCLE RESTORE -- infused with ARNICA, ST. JOHN'S WORT, COMFREY and CALENDULA. Also contains menthol and a blend of 8 essential oils.

MUSCLE CALM -- MAGNESIUM LOTION in a base of COCOA BUTTER and JOJOBA OIL.

RESTORE is designed for sore muscles, bruising, and inflammation. It is also helpful for sore joints due to arthritis.

CALM is designed for cramping muscles. Many people find it helpful for restless leg syndrome and leg/foot cramps at night. In these cases, it is suggested to massage some CALM onto legs and/or feet before going to sleep.

Why choose one over the other? Let's talk about what each provides.

RESTORE -- HERBS and ESSENTIAL OILS
ARNICA -- heals bruises, helpful for osteoarthritis and carpal tunnel; relieves sprains, muscle pains, and other inflammation.
ST. JOHN'S WORT -- for inflammation and skin irritation.
COMFREY -- improves the healing and pain response of bruises, sprains and painful muscles and joints, particularly related to exercise.
CALENDULA -- anti-inflammatory and helps calm muscle spasms.
MENTHOL -- soothe muscle aches.
LAVENDER -- pain relief and healing.
CAMPHOR -- soothe muscle aches.
ROSEMARY -- for painful muscles and joints; also helps with neuropathy and neuralgia (nerve pain)
CAJEPUT -- pain relief.
EUCALYPTUS -- reduce muscle pain, soreness and swelling.
WINTERGREEN -- soothe muscle aches.
LEMONGRASS -- help relieve muscle aches, cramps and spasms; may also help to improve circulation.

CALM -- The best answer for nighttime leg cramps! Magnesium Oil is the main ingredient. A natural muscle relaxant, topical application to sore muscles and joints can provide pain and ache relief. See also my post on "magnesium oil" by Dr. Jenna Peterson.

Both products can be used together.
